To address a question about how this website got here, I posted the following response on the community Facebook Group. I'm posting it again below. I hope that it will be helpful. _________ The “eagleridgehoa” website content had been directed by the Board for twenty years, not me. The domain registration was handled by me because, at that time, I was the only one who knew how to do this. I have volunteered hundreds of hours maintaining the site and training other volunteers, including Yvonne Lux, to manage the content. One of the reasons we selected Lordon to be our management company was that they offered in-house hosting. This brought several advantages:
They include hosting in their monthly charge, saving homeowners money;
They use professional IT staff to protect the site from malicious attacks;
They have a comprehensive off-site backup system to protect our data;
They tied into their back-office services, such as billing;
Most importantly for the Directors, Lordon provided the ability to view a log of calls from homeowners with a record of how they were handled. This is something previous Boards had requested from Ross Morgan, and Ross Morgan could not provide.
Moving to today: Due to the hasty switch from Lordon, no transition plan for the domain was made. Because of their termination, as of January 1st, the domain could no longer go to Lordon. No effort was made by the present Board to contact them or me to arrange a re-direct or transfer. So, rather than have that domain go to an ERROR 404, PAGE NOT FOUND, I put up the content you now see. Its purpose is simply to collect and disseminate the concerns of homeowners.
